So, this post right here is for the hairdresser that told me my hair wont grow much longer than where it was because it’s natural….BOOYAH!
Wow, I am really really proud of my hair right now! The reason why I have been out of commision for the past few days and Sherica’s been holding it down here at SPGD, is because I have been feverishly helping my very good friend/sister from another mother, Brittany get ready for her wedding! Well, as I am sure you can imagine, Brittany’s hair stylist took one look at my very proud afro puff and said “I can’t do anything with that”….I smiled politely and said no prob, lady! And took my gorgeous afro puff elsewhere! Ms.Beverly, my hairstylist at Regis in International Mall here in Tampa Florida, HOOKED ME UP! She always does. I have been going to Ms.Beverly for over 5 years now and she’s awesome. She keeps my hair healthy and manageable and understands what products will keep my hair healthy and shiny and what products just won’t cut it. Anyway, 3 and a half hours after sitting in the salon chair, the results were amazing. My coils were straightened out, not a fairy knot in sight and it was SO shiny! I will not be pressing my hair for a very long time after this, but it was cool to compare my last press 2 years ago to this most recent one! Take a look!
Me trying to be rihanna...with NATURAL HAIR! *rolling eyes*
Me being myself, with long hair! YAAAAAY! BSL, Here I come! 🙂
So, there you have it dolls! No matter what those clueless hair dressers tell you, long hair is possible. All it takes is patience and a little TLC for your hair. It was really cool to really see my progress and I can’t wait to do this again next year to see if I am at BSL length by then! I am hoping to reach and maintain BSL by next spring…let’s see if I can do it! I’ll keep you guys posted. Until next time, stay gorgeous, dolls!
